Original DMX

This piece is to commemorate the life of Earl Simmons also known as DMX. His energetic personality shined in his music and movies and spoke to me as a kid. He was recognized and respected for being one of the most authentic artists of my generation to reach the heights that he did. This is my small contribution to a hip hop legend, RIP DMX, AKA Earl Simmons.

18" x 24" - Landscape (wider than it is tall)

100% cotton canvas hand-stretched on a solid wood frame and stapled to the back, 0.75 inches deep, gesso primed, water-based acrylics, and a high gloss finish to bring out the color and to protect the painting.
