Mac Miller

This piece is a tribute to the late Mac Miller who passed away at 26 years old in 2018. Mac was an extremely creative, skilled, and accomplished artist but regardless of his massive success he never fully overcame his addiction to drugs. His addiction Would end up being what took him away from us and is relative to my story as I am a recovering addict. For me, this piece is a reminder that no matter how much success I may have in my life I need to stay aware that if I don't keep myself in check with my recovery then everything I've worked for can slip away in an instant. I can only hope that this message translates in this piece and speaks to those who have dealt with or are dealing with addiction.
